Welcome to Your 7th Tip

This week I’m going to share with you some truths about fat – dive in and watch the video.

Newsflash – eating fat doesn’t necessarily make us fat! And two reasons for that are:

  1. Natural and healthy fats suppress your appetite
  2. They don’t produce wild swings in insulin (covered in week 2)

There is one fat in particular which is really important in supporting a healthy metabolism, and it’s commonly deficient in the typical Western diet. That’s the omega 3s – eating enough of these actually helps you lose weight.

Low fat diets aren’t a normal way to eat because they can cause a deficiency in fat soluble vitamins and omega 3 fats – both of which will slow your weight loss down (or prevent you losing any).

Include plenty of healthy fat in your daily diet, from things like:

  • Avocado
  • Seeds
  • Nuts
  • Unrefined oils
